"Implementation Intentions" is an effective strategy for behavioral change, but it has not previously been applied to transport behavior. Test subjects have received a survey that includes a planning tool that can help them ride a bike or walk more in everyday life. We have tested the tool on a wider audience (N = 300) and will analyze the data to see if it has had a positive effect on walking or cycling. Results are ready in spring 2020.
As part of the project, we are funding a doctorate in psychology University of Oslo. The dissertation is about mastery planning for active transport.
