Sammendrag

The report presents results from analyzes of six key areas in Oslo and Akershus where there is high density of work places and therefore also a high proportion of work trips. For each area, analyses of commuting patterns are conducted, as well as an examination of measures that could change the commuters travel habits, and an in-depth investigation of travel behavior among employees at a central workplace. Based on a Delphi-based scenario analyses of the potential future developments in areas are discussed. Two key scenarios are outlined and sets of measures that can help to develop more sustainable commuting patterns 10-15 years ahead, are suggested. The work is intended to be used in the development of measures to meet the objective of developing more environmentally friendly passenger journeys in Oslo and Akershus described in the National Transport Plan (NTP).
