There are various different capacity-restrained assignment methodologies and route choice algorithms in the Cube software. In this project we have been evaluating some of them when assigning traffic in the Norwegian Regional Transport Model. Because congestion seems to be underestimated in this version of the transport model, and the difference between the best and second best possible routes between most origins and destinations seems to be significant, the choice of assignment methodology does not affect the results much. The report is published only electronically.
