This report summarizes interviews with research institutes and representatives for the big energy companies about technological means to get a more sustainable transport. Norwegian possibilities to reduce emissions from road traffic by technological means, are related to supply of energy and environmental friendly fuels. Commitments schould be in areas where Norway have natural resources or special knowledge. The interviewed persons regard commitment to bioenergy and development of effective processes for production of liquid fuels with biological origin (BTL) as a necessity. Hydrogen is regarded as a candidate to be the energy carrier of the future. Norway has spesial knowledge in storage of hydrogen and material science for fuel cells. Natural gas is a Norwegian energy ressource, and Norway is highly qualified to develop efficient and clean natural gas engines. This report is available only in electronic version
