Sammendrag

This report is an assessment whether there is positive socio-economic benefit by expanding express boat routes in the Oslo Fjord as part of an expanded public transport. Through survey, passenger statistics, commuting statistics and information from affected municipalities, boatbuilding yards and operators of existing services, we describe the framework for the use of express boats onto year 2030. Express boats currently has negative socio-economic benefit, but can within ten year get positive benefit for certain routes with maximum positive development. The public must still expect to spend substantial sums each year if they want to provide this service.
