In October 2006, the eight CIENS-institutes were relocated from different locations in Oslo to the same building at Blindern. Travel surveys were carried out before and after the relocation. In this report, results from the surveys are analysed and summarised, focusing on: Changes in travel behaviour and modal split, and why these occurred; The employees’ reactions to these changes; Effects and consequences of travel restrictions are discussed, and; Characteristics of the ones choosing the different transport modes on their travel to work. The relocation lead to a reduction in car share on work travels from 36 % to 20 %. The employees were more content with their new work travel than they expected to be before the relocation. All data are included in appendices. This report is available only in electronic version.
