In this report, transport performance figures for the year 2007 are presented together with other relevant Norwegian transport statistics. Domestic passenger transport performance increased by 2.6 per cent in 2007. Road traffic rose by 3.1 per cent. Public transport by tramway and rail increased in 2007. Domestic air transport also showed an upward trend. International passenger transport in 2007 was higher than ever, about 55 million trips being taken. Domestic freight transport increased by 1.4 per cent in 2007, all three modes - sea, road and rail - showing considerable growth. The volume of freight to and from the mainland increased slightly in 2006. Oil and gas exported directly from the Norwegian continental shelf decreased by three per cent in 2007.
