Transport performance for truck transport in Viken and Oslo – A feasibility study

The purpose of the present analysis has been to test whether there is available data with a sufficient quality to establish a freight transport model at a regional or local level in Norway. The report documents a network model that has been developed for road transport in the capital Oslo and surrounding county Viken and tests the model with available data and validates data application in the road network with road traffic counts from Norwegian Public Road Administration. The analysis is exemplified with Viken as a region, but the model that has been developed covers the entire country, but with the most detailed geographical resolution (basic district) within Oslo and Viken and a broader geographical division (sub-area zone) for the rest of the country.
