Sammendrag

The potential for reducing the number of killed or seriously injured road users has been assessed. It is found that by applying road safety measures that are currently used, fatalities can be reduced by about 55 % and serious injuries by about 40 %. If new, technologically mature measures are also used, the potential reductions increase to about 60 % for fatalities and about 45 % for serious injuries.
