Experience indicates that vehicles in real traffic emit higher amounts of emissions than the nominal values obtained from the approval testing procedures. The tested vehicles with Euro 6/VI technology show significant lower emissions than corresponding vehicles with Euro 5/V technolog.y Light Euro 6 diesel vehicles show in “real” traffic and at cold temperatures however emission of NOx that still are high. The tested heavy-duty vehicles with Euro VI engines have very low emission of NOx. The SCR exhaust-cleaning technology is thus, here shown to be very efficient. New vehicle technologies show in specific conditions to have somewhat alarming emissions of N2O and PM.
