Exploiting the BIG-5.2 bottom-up stock-flow cohort model of the Norwegian vehicle fleet, we project the fleet until 2050, in two separate scenarios. For each vehicle class and energy technology, output is derived in terms of fleet size, traffic performance, energy consumption and CO2 emissions. The forceful fiscal incentives directed at new passenger car acquisition in Norway will result in substantially decreased energy use and CO2 emissions at the 2030 and 2050 horizons.
