NTM5 represents a further development of the models for long distance trips in the previous model version (NTM4). The mode choice, destination and trip frequency models are now reformulated, and estimated on the national travel survey of 1997/1998. This report describes the structure of the model system and the principles of aggregation, and also documents the estimation results for each of the sub-models of NTM5.
