Sammendrag

The report presents results from a survey of commuters in Akershus county administration (ACA) and the Norwegian national rail administration (NNRA). Both companies are located in the centre of Oslo, with good access to public transportation. The shares travelling by public transport are high in both companies, compared to Oslo and adjacent municipalities. However, the NNRA has a larger share of public transport users, a larger proportion who are satisfied with their last commuting trip, and their employees use ICT -based communication more frequently to reduce work-related travels. The main reasons for the differences are probably due to the subsidising of public transport tickets in the NNRA, good parking facilities for car in the ACA and different geographical location of the organizations within the city centre.
