Accidents with mopeds and light motor cycles are increased during the last years, especially single accidents. The risk of serious injury or death is however not increased. Teen agers are most at risk of accidents with mopeds and light motor cycles, but the proportion of injured adults in moped accidents has risen during later years. Passenger cars are the most common opposite party in collisions. Most accident take place in the summer season, on workdays and in the afternoon. Insurance data on material damage varies with the age of the vehicle, probably because new vehicles are more often comprehensively insured.
