Sammendrag

The report describes needs and opportunities for model development for passenger travel in Norway. It identifies several limitations in the current transport model system due to the static and macroscopic model approach. The report deals with, among other things, agent-based models, which is a newer type of model that can contribute to transport analysis in cities and for prediction of effects of new measures and modes of transport such as robotaxies. Parallel runs are recommended for model development, where the current transport model system is both further developed in the short and medium term and at the same time focuses on new, more dynamic transport models. This will ensure that transport models gain more relevance to contribute to the development of transport systems in the future.
