The institute of Transport Economics has studied change in travel demand due to different policy measures for the area of Buskerudbyen. The work is based on calculations using the Norwegian Regional Transport Models for passenger transport. As part of the project, the model has been thoroughly validated and calibrated before use. The main objective has been to analyze how to achieve the goal of zero growth in passenger car usage for the area of Buskerudbyen. The calculations indicate that passenger car restrictions such as toll roads and higher parking fees are necessary to obtain zero growth in passenger car usages. Stimulating alternative transport modes by decreasing public transport headways and building express ways for bicycles only affect the passenger cars usages moderately.
