Sammendrag

Half of the employees in Oslo Municipality use public transport to get to work. But there are also some who drive. The share of cars is at the same level as in 2018., while the share of cycling has slightly increased and the share of public transport has slightly decreased. Increased use of electric cars and fewer work trips due to more people working from home have contributed to reduced emissions from the work trips of Oslo Municipality employees. However, increased use of electric cars is also one of the reasons why the share of cars has not decreased, as those with access to electric cars are more likely to drive than those with cars using fossil fuels. The COVID-19 pandemic has made more people prefer individual over collective means of transportation. This is likely the main reason why the share of public transport among Oslo Municipality employees has decreased and the share of cycling has increased.
