Total transport content in the production of commodities and services in Norway

The purpose of this work has been to calculate the total amount of freight transport initiated by the activity in a Norwegian production sector. This involves two “levels” of transport activity. The first level, called direct transport, is transport that is executed or paid for by that production sector itself. The second level, called indirect transport, is transport that is executed or paid for by suppliers of intermediate goods to the production sector and their suppliers again.
