Sammendrag

The report describes a proposal for a new concept for the public transport services in the Lillehammer region, covering the three local authorities of Lillehammer, Øyer and Gausdal, with 36,400 inhabitants in the town of Lillehammer and the surrounding rural district. The aim of the concept is to simplify travel by public transport in the region. It consists of an integrated scheduled service according to the pulse principle, in combination with demand-responsive services for the rural areas outside the main transport corridors. The aim is to have one, integrated system for all types of public transport services. The concept is being detailed by Oppland County Council, which is the public agency responsible for public transport in the region, and the first operational contract under the new concept will start in Lillehammer on January 1, 2008.
