Sammendrag

This report analyses the regional economic impacts of alternative bridge- and tunnel concepts for crossing the Oslofjord. A new fixed-link across the Oslofjord will have effects on the settlement patterns and labour markets in the region, as well as regional and national industry and commerce. In accordance with the project management in the concept study (KVU) for crossing the Oslofjord, the Institute of Transport Economics (TØI) have analysed: (1) the potential for regional economic labour market integration, (2) wider economic impacts, and (3) the effects on the competition between the airports Torp and Rygge. The analysis shows largest potential for labour market integration and largest calculated wider economic impacts for the Moss-Horten alternative, compared to the Hurum-alternative.
