This report is a collection of separate notes. The first three explain the current approach to multimodal cost benefit analysis in the transport sector. The next four discuss some of the changes to this approach currently under discussion in Norway. These changes concern the discount rate, wider economic benefits and real price adjustments of the value of time. The eighth paper treats the relation between economic efficiency and majority voting, while the ninth one puts forward a hypothesis on why publicly financed projects take so long to carry out.
