Sammendrag

168 respondents from the borough of Åmot were interviewed in September 1999 about their experience of their neighbourhood quality. The study is a follow-up of a study conducted in 1996, and investigates the effect of of Rødsmoen military training field. Non-response was as high as 71%, mainly as a result of unwillingness to participate. The results show that people are satisfied with the neighbourhood quality in the area, and that there are very few environmental problems. There has been a slight increase in noise annoyance in the population as a result of military activities. People are more positive to the establishment of the training field than they were in 1996. Those not in favour of the training field are more annoyed by noise than the others.
