Location, accessibility and travel to work. An analysis of the travel to work within the South Corridor of the Oslo region based on the criterias of the Dutch ABC-system

Authors: Øystein Engebretsen
Report nr: 1048/1996
Language: Norwegian

The working report presents a study of the travel to work in the South Corridor of the Oslo region in June 1996. The aim of the project has been to reveal effects of the land use and transport planning upon the use of public transport to work. The travel behaviour in the South Corridor is a result of both accessibility by public transport and accessibility by car. A location policy and a development of the public transport system according to the principals of the Dutch ABC-system, will contribute to a growth in work trips by public transport. The working report presents a proposal for an ABC-system for the South Corridor.
