International and domestic air travel in Norway 2011

This report presents results from the 2011 Norwegian Air Travel Survey. Information from 68 000 passenger on domestic routes and 75 000 passengers on international routes is collected and analyzed. Results show that 14.2 million passengers travelled on domestic routes in 2011, of which 51 percent were business trips. The corresponding figures for international traffic to/from airports operated by Avinor are 13.6 million and a 36 percent business share. In addition, 2.5 million passengers arrived/departed on international routes from Rygge and Torp airports, and 2.3 million travelled on non-scheduled flights. In total, international traffic to/from Norwegian airports equaled 18.4 million passengers in 2011.
