The border visitor survey for the winter season 1998 comprehends all foreigners' visits to Norway from January till April. In this period 1,13 million foreign guests visited Norway for business and holiday purposes. Nearly 800,000 of the guests stayed at least one night in Norway, and they spent 4,6 million guest nights in the country. Sweden and Denmark are the main source markets.
