Glare effecs of high beam on motorcycles in daylight

Use of the high beam during day time has been suggested as a measure to improve the visibility of motorcycles. A possible drawback is that the high beam may cause glare effects and degrade the vision of other drivers. This report presents results showing that the use of high beam by motorcycles in ordinary day light has small if any effect on visual acuity and contrast sensitivity of oncoming drivers.
