The report provides an analysis of trends in the Norwegian freight transport market. We distinguish between modes of transport (sea, railway and road) and presents the market composition in terms of length of transport, commodity, quantity, transport performance (in tonne kms) and kilometers driven. Truck has the highest market share in terms of both tonnes and tonne kilometers. Truck has been the object for an analysis with particular focus on the development of freight transport in Norway’s domestic and international corridors. Size and development capacity for truck are also presented.
