In Norway, most public transport is operated or commissioned by the county administration, which also subsidises public transport supply to an extent inversely related to the degree of urbanization. Since 2005, public transport use has been increasing, while fares have come slightly down in real terms. The report presents a collection of statistics and general information on public transport run by the various counties or operated commercially.
