An important factor in the transport choice is the price that transport users are being offered. Long-term price is a function of cost, at least a viable transport operator has to cover their costs in the long run. In this report we have therefore focused on the cost structure within the various means of transport, and what affects the cost. We have also illustrated the cost structure for different means of transport in some examples. For more detailed cost parameters for different vehicle types, etc., refer to the separate report regarding cost model developed for the National Freight Model
