This working report presents the results from a cost-benefit analysis of introducing heavy goods vehicles (HGV) with length 25.25 m and gross weight 60.0 tonnes on parts of the Norwegian road network. The maximum potential demand for the new HGV's is 4.039 billion tonnkms. The need for extra investments if the new HGV's are allowed to access the whole road network are 19.7 billion NOK. It is recommended that the new HGV's are allowed on main roads in all counties except in Hordaland, Sogn and Fjordane and Nordland. In that alternative the introduction of HGV's will give an annual benefit of 174.9 million NOK. An alternative where the HGV's are introduced to the main roads and the secondary roads in all counties except the counties of Hordaland, Sogn and Fjordane and Nordland gives a benefit of 16.2 million NOK.
