As an input to the Norwegian National Transport Plan 2014-2023, TØI has described the modal split and the distribution between travel purposes based on calculations run on the models NTM5 and RTM. The distribution by mode and travel purposes is presented for various distance intervals and transport corridors. For long trips the NTM5 model is also used to calculate the possible effects of changes in fares and travel times for air and rail.
