An internet based survey on commuting are carried out among employees at Statoil, Fornebu. Of the 1000 respondents 56 percent use the car, 7 percent walk or cycle, and the rest use public transport. The share that cycle/walk in summer increase to 23 percent. The most important reason to use the car is time. A change from car to the existing public transport will increase the time use significant, according to their own opinion. However, 45 percent of car users wish to use public transport more. The most wanted measure is a new metro-line to Fornebu, but also a general improvement of the bus capacity and lines were asked for. If 45 percent of the drivers changed from car to public transport, walking or cycling the emission of CO2 will be reduced with 36 percent.
