Sammendrag

In this survey of children’s activities and school trips 1463 parents and children in the age group 6-12 years have answered questions about traffic conditions in their neighbourhood, along the way to school, use of transport mode to school, activities in their leisure time and choice of travel mode related to these activities. The results are compared with a similar study carried out in 2005. Most of the children are taken by car to organized leisure activities, especially to sport. There has not been any changes in use of the transport mode during the period from 20015 to 2013/14. There is a tendency to more organized leisure activities among the children in 2013/14 than in 2005. Those who take part in organized activities have also much social contacts with friends.
