A newly developed SCGE -model of the Norwegian economy is employed in order to analyse the wider economic impacts of a set of Norwegian infrastructure investments. In total, 9 different projects are analysed, spanning both road-, rail-, sea- and air transport. The results show wider economic impacts ranging from almost negligible effects to approximately 25% of the direct user benefits of the investment. On the basis of the model results, we draw a set of general conclusions on the magnitude and presence of wider economic impacts of infrastructure investments.
