The cost base for the passenger charge at Avinor’s airports has been calculated based on Avinor’s accounts, space use data, and traffic figures. The result is NOK 36,90 per departing domestic passenger and NOK 49,40 per departing international passenger.
Half of the difference is due to higher costs for international than for domestic passengers at each individual airport. The other half is due to the fact that the comparatively high capital and luggage costs at Oslo Airport has a stronger impact on international than on domestic traffic. Oslo Airport is a fairly new airport having 72 % of Avinor’s international traffic and 35 % of the domestic traffic.
A publicly owned company, Avinor manages all Norwegian air traffic and 45 Norwegian airports including that of Oslo.
