Sammendrag

Ministry of Transport and Communications’ Trial scheme for public transport was established in 1991 and continued in 1992-96. This project is a part of the overall analysis of the 1993 experiments. The purpose of this project is to estimate the passengers’ willingness to pay for service improvements like reduced in-vehicle time, reduced walking and waiting time, increased frequency, less transfer time, and improved bus stops and improved passengers’ information. The analysis is based on 1009 interviews in Moss, Grenland, Kristiansand, Tromsø and Ålesund. We have used Stated choice techniques to analyse the preferences of regular public transport users.
