Automating the adaption of public transport supply in network models - Development of the computer application KOLLNETT

The development of the computer application KOLLNETT is an attempt to automate the coding prosess of transit lines in Emme/2. Each line input to the application's procedures must yield an average service for the sequence of stops and a representative line frequency. This report documents technical and theoretical assessments in that respect. Eventually, the quality of node data (stop coordinates and names) is a crucial condition for establishing satisfactory public transport networks.
