This document presents an analysis of Norwegian freight terminals’ surrounding area. In the analysis a terminal’s surrounding area is given by the location of the recipient for road goods transport to and from a particular terminal. This kind of analysis is carried out for ports and rail terminals as well as transshipment terminals/road goods terminals. We use municipalities as the geographical level.The approach has been twofold. In part we have used information from SSB survey for road goods transport between 2008-2012, and partly information from a national freight model for terminal use in intermodal transport chains. We have made a distinction between container cargo and other goods.
