This study examines how car dealers inform customers about driver assistance systems and what characterizes the current information provided to car buyers. It is common for dealers to go through driver assistance systems with customers, most thoroughly at vehicle delivery. The content and duration of the review vary between dealerships. A key challenge is that much information is given in a short time and mainly orally. Providing more details on system limitations and errors, Norwegian-language digital training materials, and more practical demonstrations could improve today’s information practices.
