This report reviews international research on user acceptance of shared automated vehicles (SAVs). The aim is to compile and systematize knowledge relevant for the planning and development of such mobility services. The report reviews key theoretical models of technology adoption, including the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and later extensions, and discusses how these have been used to analyze attitudes toward automated transport. The SAVA-model is a new, simplified approach showing that factors such as perceived usefulness, safety, trust in the technology, social comfort, and ease of use are important for willingness to adopt the technology. At the same time, the literature indicates that acceptance is also influenced by broader social and institutional conditions, such as regulation, availability, and universal design. The report emphasizes that potential benefits such as improved road safety, more efficient land use, and reduced emissions depend on the services actually being used. Knowledge about user acceptance is therefore central to the development of future mobility solutions.
