Unique nature and driving experiences: Visitor assessments of national scenic roads in Norway

The report describes motor tourists' experiences and assessments of scenic roads in Norway, based on survey data from the summer seasons of 2005 and 2010. The study was conducted on seven roads, which were either designated or nominated as national tourist routes. Interesting landscapes and the view from the road were the dominant motives for choosing these routes. A proportion of the visitors judged the number of certain facilities to be too few along these routes.
