The specific objective of this pilot study is to test the design of different stated preference methods used for valuation of traffic information. The valuation context used is a work journey by car. Among possible stated preference methods we have focused on stated choice and contingent valuation. The pilot study has evaluated different study designs suitable to test i) if respondents are capable of valuing reduced travel time variability and delay, ii) how to present new forms of information provision with a potensial to reduce travel time variability and delay, and iii) how to value such information.
