Sammendrag

Buskerud county has a varied and robust industry structure, as a whole. However, the county is divided in two with regard to population- and industrial development. The lower part of the county are growing rapidly, but the upper parts have a modest growth rate. The lower parts is also an integrated part of the Oslo region, which gives additional advantages. A major challenge the coming years is to limit the growth in car traffic and to improve public transport. Another challenge is to provide suitable housing in order to increase attractiveness for youth and the elderly and to reduce the car dependency.
