In this study we perform a literature review on the effects of technological development on travel demand with passenger car up to 2030. We mainly focus on three transport innovations facilitated by technological developments: shared mobility, autonomous vehicles and Mobility as a Service. Based on the findings from the literature review we evaluate how the three transport innovations affect travel demand, investment- and maintenance cost, land use, policy tools and the timing of different transport projects.
