Air transport is vital to Norway due to long distances and a remote location in Europa. The petroleum industry, tourism and the coastal and northern parts of Norway are especially dependent upon air transport. Climate effects of air transport and emissions related to Norwegians' air travel are analysed, measures discussed and future scenarios described.
