Sammendrag

The report contains an estimate of the costs to society of problems related to occupational health, environmental pollution and occupational accidents in Norwegian firms. The costs have been estimated to 26,9 billion NOK (about 3.55 billion US Dollars). The true costs are higher, as there was not sufficient data to include all relevant problems in the cost estimation. It was estimated that about 38% of the costs are internalized by the firms.
