Targeted Public Transport Development Part 1: Experiences from Hundvåg one year later

The report describes the effects of at targeted public transport development at Hundvåg in Stavanger. Increased frequency, upgraded shelters etc has resulted in more satisfied customers and a passenger increase of 20 per cent. The increased patronage is basically a result of more part-time bus-customers and more frequent use of the bus from the existing passengers. After the introduction of the new services has both men and people with good access to car increased their share. Furthermore is both the positive attitudes towards and knowledge about public transport increased. However, there are still a lack of knowledge about the fare system and level among the passengers and the inhabitants.
