The report examines the development and effects of today's regulation of the Norwegian taxi service industry. It concludes that there is inconsistency between, on the one hand, the access regulation embedded in the Professional Transport Act and, on the other hand, the regulations to ensure competition, in particular the Public Procurement Act. Various ways to harmonize the regulations are suggested.
