A new pedestrian and bicycle path (GS-path) along County Road 2832 in Modum was completed in 2022. Video analyses showed an increase in number of vulnerable road users on the new infrastructure, while number of cyclists riding in the traffic lane decreased. Interviews revealed users perceived the GS-path as a major improvement, noting a better infrastructure. It was used for both transportation and recreation, such as commuting, jogging, and walking. Despite positive feedback, the study faced challenges, including construction impacts during the pre-intervention phase and limited data on long-term effects. Low traffic and participant numbers further limited the analysis. The findings indicate the GS-path has improved conditions for vulnerable road users, making the area more attractive. However, further research is required to assess its broader and long-term impacts on traffic patterns and infrastructure use..
