The capacity and number of parked cars and bikes at commuter parkings have been mapped out November 2016 at 11 train and subway stations in Bærum Municipality. The survey shows that most of the parking lots are full, but the parking at subway stations are more used than the parking lots at train stations. Through registration of number plates, we have analyzed distances between car owner`s home address and station. 25% of those who use the park and ride have registered residential address less than one kilometer from the station. Additional 38% live in a distance from one to three kilometer from the station. However, at the stations with the highest capacity, a higher proportion of parked cars belongs to car owners with residential address more than three kilometer from the station. This applies to the metro stations Avløs, Gjønnes and Kolsås, where this ratio is 44-48%.
